Javier Hernandez hands in transfer request
"JAVIER HERNANDEZ has reportedly handed in a transfer request at West Ham to force through a Sevilla move.

The Mexican striker, 31, has seen summer arrivals Sebastien Haller and Albian Ajeti move ahead of him in the pecking order."

We'd be a bit mad to let him go, seeing as we couldn't replace him until January.

Really cant see him playing a big role in spain either, Sevilla have 1 or 2 decent strikers their already too.

Re: Javier Hernandez hands in transfer request
I respect part of what he has done, he wants to play and he wants his family in Spain.

The MLS franchise that starts up in a bit in Austin have been begging him to be their Beckham. He just had to run out his contract with us and then head over.

Just don't like the timing of it all.

If you add in Oblang Fernandes and Oxford were also on decent wage. I am curious to know what percentage was cut off the wage bill.

As its been quite the turn over this summer on the quiet. Squad feels better this season if a bit thin.

Re: Javier Hernandez hands in transfer request
The Daily Mail (oh, yeah!) saying Hernandez agreed to "ONLY" £53k pw to join Sevilla. Which is obviously still a stupid amount of money for kicking a ball, but shows how much he wanted out. A 60% drop in salary.

Reading between the lines, it seems MP knew the situation was simply unsolvable. Move on.

Nasri and Adrian bring that total to north of 500k a week. Again not missed.

The last one wasn't even a injury per se, he had to have surgery for something bowel related I think.

Definitely the way.

Re: Javier Hernandez hands in transfer request
I had rough salaries per week as
Pea £140k
Arnie £120k
Carroll £90k
Perez £70k
That’s £420k a week or almost £22m a year
And none of them will be missed on the pitch

"West Ham Way will probably intervene"

Lad's already had 2-3 injuries and he's 22. Looks promising if he can avoid that mind.

Re: Javier Hernandez? Big SO WHAT!?
Amazing how much money the David's shoved off the wage bill in just strikers alone with Carroll Perez and Marko off the books.

Must have been somewhere around the 15-17 million mark per annum just in those 4

I have big hopes for Silva.

I also know the West Ham Way will probably intervene.

Good Luck to you Pea - lets hope we can spend the saved salary wisely

Re: Javier Hernandez hands in transfer request
I don't mind Pea. But he's been "second string" EVERYWHERE in his career. He can finish from 6 yards, but does little else. For WHUFC to make him highest earner was madness. His agent must be a hypnotist.

He'll still score lots for his home country. And fine. But he was NOT the future. Good luck to him.

There shouldn't be any other player near the first team that wants out near term. That can only be good....

*Until the next inevitable only West ham disaster*

Re: Javier Hernandez hands in transfer request
